Can I put the bracket and LCD about a heating source or under an air conditioner?
It’s all about heat. The presence of, or absence of. Molecules in motion, to put it in layman’s physics terms. The more the air molecules are jiggling around, the hotter it is, the less? The cooler. We humans generally aren’t satisfied with whatever temperature we happen to be in so we have things like heaters and air conditioners to artificially adjust it.
The question though really is, will excess heat damage my LCD TV? Well,LCD TVs throw off heat on their own, about the same as an LCD monitor of equivalent dimensions, and obviously, the bigger the screen, the more heat is generated. But these units have fans to handle their own heat, but adding more could be asking for trouble.
So, answer is, a flat out yes. For example, putting an LCD TV close to a fireplace or a radiator can definitely cause damage to the unit over time.
We don’t know of any issues regarding air conditioners. If the air conditioner is set to suit human comfort, it is likely okay for your LCD TV as well.
