What about a really big room?
What about a really big room?
Hmmm… Big room? Big budget? Big appetite for a big screen? Go big with your Plasma or LCD flat panel TV set. The bigger the better.
How big do they get?
Well, in January of 2008, Panasonic unveiled the world’s largest Plasma TV at the CES 2008 yet again. Panasonic managed to increase the size to 150 inch.
This giant of a Plasma display by Panasonic has a resolution of 4,096×2,160px. According to the manufacturer, the big screen is ideal for both theater and commercial establishments.
The largest LCD TV? Well, LCD technology doesn’t quite match up to Plasma when it comes to size.
The largest LCD flat panel TV screen so far was also introduced in 2008, by Sharp Electronics, measuring 108 inches, STILL huge. Sharp says their unit has a higher resolution than Plasma sets and also points out its lower power consumption.
