Plasma TVs have a life expectancy of about 30,000 viewing hours.
LCD TVs have a life expectancy twice that, or about 60,000 hours.

Plasma TVs can be larger than LCD TVs.
The largest Plasma screen to date is 150 inches, while the biggest LCD disaply is only 108 inches.
Plasma TVs weigh more than LCD TVs.
LCD TVs don’t have quite the vivid brightness of Plasma units.
Plasma TVs tend to reflect room light more than LCD TVs.
Plasma TVs are more subject to burn in when the same image is left on the screen for any length of time, so it is not wise to use them for extended periods of video game playing.
Plasma TVs offer better angled viewing than LCD flat panel screens.
If you intend to use your flat panel TV for a computer monitor, an LCD TV is head over heels the better choice than Plasma due to the burn in problem.
At the end of the day though? They’re both great.
